We founded Barrineau in a little beach bungalow off Abbot Kinney in Venice, California, in part because it's our home, but also because it's where we feel most inspired. From the sun-bleached colors of the boardwalk store fronts to the iconic style of 1970s surfers and skaters who put Venice on the map, it all plays a role in our design process. 

As an ode to our home, the bags are named after streets in Los Angeles, like Rialto Avenue and Jackson Street. We choose colors we see most every day, like poppy reds and cactus greens. The styles, built on a retro aesthetic with a dose of modern functionality, are designed to be effortless, versatile and rugged. After all, our lifestyle is casual, our bags should be too.
